Dancing with the Stars: Dancer gets an emotional goodbye

Bookmark and Share

Once again, the Happiness bloggers elected (begged) my mom to be our Dancing with the Stars correspondent. After each show, she calls me with her report...

There was only one elimination last night, but that unlucky dancer got a somewhat emotional sendoff from judge Len Goodman. Also, singers Michael Bublé and Susan Boyle performed, and Kenny Mayne returned with DanceCenter.

Keep reading for all the details!

"The dancers picked to repeat their dance from the night before were Joanna and Derek who did the 'future' Pasa Doble. Then Michael Bublé sang two songs. I'm not sure what the first one was called but the second one was called 'Feeling Good,' and that one was the best. The pros danced both times while he was singing. I enjoyed the dancers more than I enjoyed him. Normally I like him, but last night I just wasn't feeling it.

"They had DanceCenter with Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice, Len, and very briefly, Stacey Keibler, a previous contestant. Stacy interviewed Donny Osmond about his kiss with Bruno. It was kind of strange, but Kenny and Jerry and Len were really funny. They did part of it in the first half of the show, and then later in the show they finished analyzing each dancer.

"They also had this thing at the beginning of the season called Designing Dance where the fans got to pick a previous star from the show to come back and dance again with a pro dancer, also picked by the audience. They also got to pick the dance and the costume. The fans picked Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas. She danced with Mark in season five and then they dated for a long time afterwards. They danced the Pasa Doble to the song 'Eye of the Tiger.' It was very, very good.

"Susan Boyle danced. Oh no, excuse me, she sang. I doubt she could dance. It was typical Susan Boyle. The pros danced while she sang. She almost seemed distracted watching them dance. Tony and Chelsie danced and it was really good.

"They only sent one person home and it was Aaron Carter (and Karina). I didn't see him cry, and it really was time for him to go. Len told him that he was an inspiration to young people everywhere, and that if he were his son he would be so proud of him. And that he should also be proud of himself, because he did great. That almost made me cry a little. Len had told (host) Tom Bergeron earlier that if Aaron was the one who was leaving that he wanted an opportunity to say something. Len just thinks Aaron is a nice young man who has worked really hard and tried really hard and wanted to do well. He admired him for that. It was sweet."

So, I guess that's the end of the crazy outfits.
