Our DWTS blogger Lenni G on last night's elimination:
SHOCKER ALERT! Within the first fifteen minutes of the show, the two lowest scorers from Monday Night (Kyle and Lacey, and Bristol and Mark) were declared safe. WHAT! Yes, people, those who dance disco fox trots (told ya' Len) and those who dance in monkey suits are very popular with the American voting public. Who knew?
Moving on, we had an encore from Brandy and Maks, entertainment from Jason Derulo twice and "Magic Booty" girl, Shakira, going all loco with her new song, "Loca."
Highlight of the night for me was the Mom and her five dancing sons who escaped from the Congo to live in the United States. As a surprise to this incredibly strong woman, the kids did a Kym Johnson-choreographed cha cha with five of the professional women dancers as their partners. Definitely a multiple Kleenex moment for me as well as the studio and TV audience. Nice, totally nice.
On to the elimination -
Those in jeopardy included Jennifer and Derek (Oh no), Rick and Cheryl (OH NO), and Florence and Corky. After the usual suspense-filled moments, it was Bye Bye (Mrs.) Brady. Gracious as always, Florence thanked everyone even remotely involved with the show for making her number one bucket list wish come true.
Next week is Rock and Roll week with each star doing two dances. And, America will have a chance to vote for the top dance ever performed on the show - I'm thinking Derek Hough with just about anybody should win this one. And, and, since it's also Halloween week, I'm thinking we may have another really frightening and scary elimination round on Tuesday. Tune in!
