Dancing with the Stars: A surprising elimination (plus newsflash: we're getting old)

Bookmark and Share

Once again, the Happiness bloggers elected (begged) my mom to be our Dancing with the Stars correspondent. After each show, she calls me with her report...

Sure, last night's "Dancing with the Stars" had a sort of surprising elimination, but the most shocking part of the show to me was hearing that the Bee Gees are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. As soon as I find my walker, I'm going to check the chifferobe for my 8-tracks and see if that can be right. Holy Moly, it's true

Well, here's the recap from my mom.

"They did the review like they usually do, and they chose Mya's salsa as the dance they wanted to see again. Len said it was 'Tutti frutti booty' because she was shaking her booty a lot.

"They had several guests. First was Leona Lewis. I didn't know who she was but I actually liked her. I liked her song. Then they had Alicia Keys, I guess she was good but it wasn't my thing. Is that what they call pop? And then the Bee Gees. It's their 50th anniversary." 50? Really? "You might want to check that out." Oh, I did.

"I think the song they sang was 'You Should Be Dancing." They had the professionals  dance and then they brought Melissa [Rycroft] back. They said 'by popular demand' but I can't imagine who that was. And then there was a group, I don't know whether they were 'The Italians' or if the song they sang was 'The Italians' but the song they sang was from the movie 'Nine.' They were pretty good." ('Be Italian' by Fergie)

"Joanna Krupa (right) was eliminated. I was surprised. That just goes to show you what the fans can do for you. I just hope the fans aren't so supportive that they have Donny Osmond win. I like him but he doesn't deserve to win, Mya deserves to win. She's the best."

So now in the finale we'll have Donny Osmond, Kelly Osbourne, and Mya. Should be a no-brainer, but we'll see how America votes! Check back next week for more.
