Dancing with the Stars: A sad Situation

Bookmark and Share

Lenni G's recap from last night's elimination show:

Loved it that the judges chose Jennifer and Derek's Argentine tango for the encore dance. Actually, I think it might have been even better the second time.

More entertainment was provided by the Goo Goo Dolls, Macy's Stars of Dance, and the really bizarre Florence and The Machine singing, while dancers did their moves on really tiny, tiny tables.

And in a moment that had to warm Mark Ballas' heart, a rerun of a Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice and Len sketch was run clearly showing that Len has been, at least once, a shirtless dancing man with a tat and bling. You rock, Len!

On to the elimination ...

Those in danger included Bristol and Mark, Kurt and Anna, and "The Situation" and Karina.  As I had suspected, The Sitch got the Bye Bye Train ticket. He was quite gracious in defeat, though his rant and walk off the night before over all the "unpositive comments" from the judges was something of a surprise. As Maverick said in "Top Gun", you never, ever leave your wingman or, in this case, your wingwoman and partner, Karina.

Next week the contestants will be dancing to TV theme music.  I'm thinking this could be really good or really awful.  We'll know for sure next Monday.
