Charlie Sheen fired from 'Two and a Half Men'

Bookmark and Share

It finally happened. Warner Brothers has fired actor Charlie Sheen from 'Two and a Half Men.'

Here's the statement: “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on “Two and a Half Men” effective immediately.”

No idea what this might mean for the show, which is the highest rated comedy on television. CBS has a contract for a ninth season. It's possible the network could at least attempt the show without him.

Sheen was notified today (letter to Sheen) and gave this statement to TMZ: "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

Charlie Sheen

The hypocrisy of Hollywood amazes me. On the one hand they support pigs such as David Letterman and Roman Polankski and the other hand they abandon and mock someone who is obviously suffering from a severe mental breakdown.

Abandon?  When there's a

Abandon?  When there's a lot of money to be made and one door closes in Hollywood another opens wide to swallow as much of that money as it can.  Watch those webcasts on Ustream (http://www.ustream.tv/charliesheen#utm_campaign=unknown&utm_source=7388095&utm_medium=social) and you'll hear one of Charlie's agents feeding the monster.  Indeed, one of Charlie's rants is specifically about how much gold he's going to make.

The only sense of abandonment, I believe, that fits here is that Hollywood has abandoned any form of "healthy Charlie".  The right thing to do here is "tough love" by actually cutting off ALL of Charlie's media access, employment, etc.  You have to stop feeding/enabling the monster in order bring it under control.

Charlie Sheen

No tears will be shed.  The little man needs to take his little man complex and go away.

The shirts, the warlock, and whatshisname

I don't know why, but I'm heartened that Sheen recognized that those bowling shirts he wore on the show were hideous.

Big whoop

If I had the $85 million that Charlie Sheen does, any firing of me would not even register on my radar screen. I would just sit around the house and do as I pleased. Ummm--WINNING!

Get a LIFE....stop watching

Get a LIFE....stop watching so much TV and go out and DO SOMETHING.

Sheen

The show was one of our favorites - not any more. I am SO glad they finally got rid of Charlie. He so egotistical - thinks only of himself. I hope the show goes on without him. He didn't even give a thought to all of the people that will lose jobs IF the show doesn't go on. With good writers, I think it can.

He needs to go away - far, far away.

#winning

I'm totally confident Sheen will have the last laugh!

When will that be?  How

When will that be?  How will you recognize it?
