ABC has informed the "Ugly Betty" cast and crew that this current season will be its last.
Now in its fourth season, the show is well past its prime (I was never a fan, personally). Plus, the ratings have been awful this season, so the cancellation shouldn't be a big surprise.
And with this much notice, the writers will at least be able to give Betty and her Mode colleagues some closure.

Thu, 01/28/2010 - 08:50 — mpcmpcSo sad to hear this news about Ugly Betty! It is a delightful show with great writing and very funny characters. ABC you are stupid! And putting the show at 10pm certainly didn't help! How do any shows survive the way they are all constantly moved around, gone on hiatus for months. No wonder the big three networks are struggling.
