Well, it's about time.
It's certainly not a surprise that TLC has announced that it's ending "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," its little show that became a hit and then a sideshow as Jon & Kate Gosselin's marriage unraveled and the two decided to play their anger out on TV.
The series finale will air Monday at 9 p.m.
The last show will feature the parents on separate outings with their children. Jon will take them to a fire station near their home; Kate will take them to a local dairy farm. Then the two will reflect on all that's happened and what the future might hold.
You might remember that, in September, the show was going to become "Kate Plus Eight" but Jon put a stop to it by; he decided he didn't want his kids on TV anymore. The Associated Press reports that while Kate won't get that show, a TLC spokesperson said that "We are focusing on the launch of Kate's new series in early spring."
"Cake Boss" will take the "Jon & Kate" time slot.
Since the "we're divorcing" episode pulled in more than 10 million viewers, the show's ratings have dropped to less than a million viewers. So, will you watch this last episode of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" or do you just not care?
