Biggest Loser: Tracey wins control -- and bullseye on her back

Bookmark and Share

Our Biggest Loser correspondent, The N&O's Michelle Aldrich, gives us her recap of last night's show.

Raleigh native Tracey Yukrich, already a little unpopular because of some strange decisionis she made on the show a couple weeks ago, did little last night to improve her standing with her teammates. In fact, it's looking like someone may have a big ole bullseye on her back.

Keep reading for last night's full recap.

This week's show starts with a temptation challenge: spin the wheel and win whatever is under the silver platter it lands on.

Will it be ...

-A calorie-laden treat
-$1,000
-Or the ultimate prize: the right to assign everyone to the blue or black teams AND choose the trainers!

Spinning is optional, but Abby's the only one who sits out. And this season's villain,  Tracey? "You know I'm gonna play!"

Rudy lands on a 1,000-calorie slice of cake.
Rebecca hits a 280-calorie donut.
Allen's cupcake has just 100 calories.
Danny's cupcake? 780 calories!

Tracey is next, so the producers start showing the contestants in varying stages of panic and freak out. Coach Mo even says, "The wind was blowing ... It was supernatural!"

Sure enough, that wheel lands on the golden ticket. Everyone's worst nightmare realized: crazy Tracey has control of the game. The pink and orange teams are shown commiserating back in their rooms. Dina, currently on the blue team, fears separation from Rudy.

Bob and Jillian do little to veil their disgust - "And Tracey won? Shocker." (Nice sarcasm Bob!)

Tracey first puts herself on the new blue team, which will be trained by Bob. (Sorry Bob!) Jillian's bummed that she won't have the opportunity to beat the crap out of her. Sigh.

She places both members of the orange team, Daniel (from Willow Spring) and Shay on Jillian's newest black team. But that's her only nicety. Every other remaining duo is split apart. And she conveniently stacks the blue team with the arguably strongest contestants.

BLUE: Tracey, Coach Mo, Liz, Rudy, Rebecca
BLACK: Daniel, Shay, Abby, Danny, Amanda, Dina

Liz is devastated by the separations but her tears quickly turn to fury: "I'm fixin' to zilch my integrity ... I'm puttin' her ass home in the most evil way possible." Look out Tracey!

But moments later she cleverly tells her allies that she won't show her anger to Tracey - she'll walk with her, cook for her, etc.

In the gym, Jillian gets Amanda puking, Liz wipes out on the treadmill (but recovers quickly), and Dina struggles to jump on a stool. Meanwhile, Bob and the blue team shop for Jenny-O Turkey at the grocery store and have a picnic.

Alison introduces the next challenge with the maxim, "Good players help themselves. Great players help each other." Each team will have to carry one member of the team on a platform across a muddy course. Blue wins videos from home! Tracey's husband reminds her that, "Pain is temporary. Pride is forever." What about footage of your spouse acting crazy on national television? Liz gives her home video opportunity to Danny. Awwwwww.

Unmemorable Last-Chance-Workout (Dina still hasn't managed to jump on the stool.) On to the weigh in!

The Blue Team:
Tracey = 7
Coach Mo = 6
Allen = 7
Rudy = 8
Rebecca = 7
Liz = 8

The Black Team:
Abby = 5
Dina = 6
Amanda = 6
Danny = 10
Shay = 16

Yeah for the underdog Black Team! Someone from Blue is going home. It will be Tracey of course, right? RIGHT?!

Not so fast ... Coach Mo is in a lot of pain from old and new injuries. Tracey reminds the team that she's an asset: repeatedly winning challenges, consistently losing weight.

And so what does the Blue team do? They unanimously send Coach Mo home and keep Tracey around for another week. WHAT?! I guess the bright side is another week of Liz's sassy threats to Tracey, if only delivered to the camera.

Coach Mo is shown to be successfully losing weight at home. Which will apparently be the theme of next week: the remaining contestants are sent home for a few days which always makes for a great show!
