Anti-Obama author cancels 2nd appearance on white power radio show

Bookmark and Share

Maybe because of this story by liberal watchdog group Media Matters, crackpot author Jerome Corsi canceled his second appearance on the Memphis-based white supremacist, anti-Semitic radio show "The Political Cesspool" on Sunday.

The host of the show, James Edwards, proudly refers to his agenda as "pro-white," and once blogged that interracial dating is "white genocide," just to give you an idea where he's coming from.

Corsi's race-baiting, factually-discredited book "The Obama Nation"  (typical Corsi: "Obama wants to will all the white blood out of himself so he can become pure black") currently sits on top of the New York Times besteseller list -- perhaps artificially, through bulk sales.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has more on Corsi's previous appearance on "The Political Cesspool" here.

More on the recent cancellation here.

Obama Should Sue Corsi for Libel

After all, Corsi admitted on CNN that the book wasn't meant to be factual but was meant to help ensure Obama doesn't win the presidency. Deliberately publishing falsehoods is libel.

Kooks!!!

Hey,

Why do you call him a Kook? When the left writes a book or posts information that you agree with, the Bush administration must explain why they are wrong, not the cook writing it. Can't have it both ways, buddy......

Or if you work for the news, I guess you can...... If you as a paper and a journalist knew how little you were used to get important facts about what goes on in the country, you would be more honest and balanced in your writings...

Well, you know what they say -- too many kooks spoil the broth.

"If you as a paper and a journalist knew how little you were used to get important facts..."

Wat a minute -- I'm a paper? Does that mean my circulation is worsening? I should see a doctor.

Just so you know, kooky Corsi has also linked John McCain to al-Qaeda:

Seems ok to be pro-black though

There are plenty of pro-black people out there who don't like black people dating white people. Would be nice to see journalists come down as hard on them. I wonder if the pro-black NAACP ever draws your ire. Or is it ok to be pro-black but not ok to be pro-white. Also, the left-wing Media Matters is just as bad as the Political Cesspool and more powerful but I never see you coming down on them. In fact, you are listening to them and siding with them it seems. To be fair, Corsi says that Media Matters "has intentionally misrepresented my arguments so they can 'prove' as 'false' claims I never made, while proclaiming 'mistakes' over trivial points in the book they chose to nit-pick in support of their obvious leftist political agenda." By the way, the Southern Poverly Law Center is a leftist organization - I don't try to hush them but I ignore them as much as possible. Let's just let people be politically incorrect on any side of the issue and stop trying to hush them.

Sorry, but your use of the

Sorry, but your use of the counter-term "pro-black" to dispel the obvious -- that Jerome Corsi and James Edwards are racists -- is just plain laughable, particularly when you cite the NAACP as having a "pro-black" agenda comparable  to James Edwards's "pro-white" beliefs.

As for whom I'm "siding" with, I'm "siding" with the truth, and when Media Matters and the Southern Poverty Law Center tell, the truth, I'll be siding with them..

By the way, can you show me any example, any at all,  when Media Matters ("as bad as the Political Cesspool," you claim) ever called anyone anything like a "radical Zionist Jew" or a "black affirmative action baby," as Political Cesspool host James Edwards called Tennessee congressional candidates Steve Cohen and Nikki Tinker, respectively,  last week? I'll be waiting.

PLenty of Idiots to go around .....

Careful there Danny .... there are plenty of extremist nutz on both sides. Corsi is indeed a kook. Are you in favor of discrediting all "kooks" or just the ones MediaWatch tells you to?

As for the "bulk sales" trick ..... that one works both ways too. Surely you know that.

Yes, I would guess that

Yes, I would guess that bulk sales probably work both ways.

As for kooks, I think it's very newsworthy when a white supremacist sympathizer's book about the first black nominee for president is No. 1 on the bestseller list, that's all.

I'm not going to bother to "balance" that by obligatorily weeding out some leftwing "kook" just to play tit-for-tat, in the vain hope of pleasing people who hate Media Matters.

However, if you don't think I play fair, I can direct you to some past  criticsms of the right's favorite media liberal to hate, Keith Olbermann:

Keith Who ???

Is he that ex-sports guy on CSMNCBSBC? .... or is he that other guy that screams and cuts off his guests?  I get those guys mixed up.  Or is he the skinny old guy with the suspenders?

 I watch CSI-Miami.  Horatio rocks!

I'm fine with you going after nutz like this guy but the "new N&O" is trying to tone down the overt partisanship.  Didn't you get the memo?

If commenting on a discredited author with white supemacist leanings is "overt partisanship," then fine, I guess I'm guilty. And by the way, where do you get this imaginary "memo"? Some people see lefties everywhere.

As for "CSI Miami," I'm more of a "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" man (Goren episodes), myself. Horatio is just corny.
