Happiness is a warm TV

Annie wants someone to love on '90210'

Bookmark and Share

Tuesday's "90210" has me wondering: Is Annie Wilson the anti-Donna Martin?

No matter how hard she tries, Annie can not get a guy to sleep with her.

Grandma Tabitha sends Annie off to her Palm Springs desert house for a relaxing getaway. Ethan tags along. She tells him she's ready to give it up. To him. Tonight. They start making out and stripping down. But wait. Ethan tells her that he can't go through with it because it's more than just sex with her. They are in love, after all.

Is a 16-year-old guy really going to turn down a half-naked girl because he likes her? He's not thinking about a future with her. He's 16. There's got to be more to the story - he's got his eye on someone else, he's impotent or he's just not that into her.

Meanwhile, Debbie and Harry take a ride to the desert to bring their teenage daughter home. They find Ethan on the couch and Annie in the bed. Relieved, they end up hooking up in the back of their mini van, only to be busted by the kids in the morning.

Adrianna passes out in chemistry class. At least this time it's the mix of hormones and a heat wave. She didn't need to be revived by a needle of adrenaline to the heart. But watch for it in future episodes...

Naomi assumes the worst and tells everyone her old friend is using drugs again. Adrianna shares her pregnancy secret with Naomi, and in a flash the two are back to being BFFs. When Adrianna musters up the courage to tell new virgin boyfriend Navid about the baby, he freaks and dumps her. Thankfully, he is NOT the father.

Dixon jumps on the love train and says the "L" word to Silver. Appalled, she gives him a "thank you" in return. Her bad attitude is starting to wear on Dixon and me. It's time to move on, Dix.

Debbie and Tabitha have a cat fight over how to parent Annie and Dixon. Harry threatens to move out if his mother doesn't stop spoiling his kids. Tabitha announces she has accepted a part in a show - on the east coast. She's a fun old gal. I hope she's not gone for too long.
