"American Idol" is apparently looking to cash in on the Justin-Bieberization of popular music, lowering its age limit from 16 to 15.
The show previously had a 16-28 age limit. The show's producers explained that they are missing out on a lot of younger talent looking for representation before the age of 16.
The first (and closest) auditions are in Nashville, TN, on July 17. So start prepping and primping your children now. If they can't wait for 15, there's always the "Toddlers and Tiaras" show on TLC.
