On the heels of the fresh Firefox 3.6, testers pit the feisty open source browser against itself (3.5) and three other browsers.
With the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark, Computer World tested Firefox 3.6 against Firefox 3.5, Chrome 4, Internet Explorer 8 and Opera 10.
It is hard to find a browser slower than IE8. Seriously, Firefox 3.5 obliterated it, and now with a 12% boost in speed, Firefox 3.6 is almost four times faster than the pokey browser from Microsoft. Chrome is still the speed demon, but Firefox does seem to have a significant memory resource advantage over Google's browser.
