The iPhone rumor machine is operating at full steam. Not only has a purported video of the next generation iPhone surfaced, but alleged dates of Apple's yet to be made-known announcement have been leaked.
The video is quite believable, but it should be taken with the prescribed grain of salt. Remember the hype over the supposed prototype with design cues from the MacBook Air? That led to massive disappointment when the 4S was revealed despite it being a thoroughly revamped device.
Among the dates rumored for the announcement, most feel that September 12 is the mostly likely day. Still Apple has yet to say anything.
These "leaks" come on the heels of a lot of hype over the successful Samsung Galaxy S III, and during the start of the patent trial between the two gadget giants.
