Baiting Facebook users by offering video of someone who died after sending a text message on their cell phone, the rogue app "I will NEVER text again" gains access to the users' walls.
In a blog post, Graham Cluley of security firm Sophos says nothing malicious has appeared so far, but the access to a user's wall could be used for spam or even spread more vicious malware.
Cluley warns that the message posted by the rogue app typically reads:
I am shocked!!! I'm NEVER texting AGAIN since I found this out. Video here: http://bit.ly/a37TaB - Worldwide scandal!
"I will NEVER text again" has been reported and should be ejected, but be careful what you click on.
Apps like these can be removed on the Facebook application settings page.
