Rather than being made from film, the BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz Pure Glass Screen Protector is an extremely thin .4mm sheet of tempered glass.
The ScreenGuardz Pure protector is available for Samsung's Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, Apple's iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5.
Along with the screen protector, BodyGauardz packs a moist antibacterial wipe, microfiber cloth, and an application tool. To apply, you clean the device screen, remove the protective film from the protector, align it and place it on. The application tool is used to squeegee out the air pockets. Though you can remove it and reuse it, BodyGuardz does not recommend it.
The Pure protector is crystal clear and doesn't interfere with touchscreen operation. Aside from increased scratch resistance, one large advantage the Pure glass has over film is how much better your fingers slide across the screen. In my experience film protectors can disrupt how easily your fingers glide across the screen. Pure glass was silky smooth.
While very thin, it could interfere with some cases that wrap over the edges of the screen. The Pure has a smudge resistant oleophobic coating. While perhaps resistant to fingerprints, you will still see them.
BodyGuardz performs a disturbing demonstration involving nails and a hammer to prove the Pure's might.
As advertised the Pure protector provides extreme screen protection while retaining superb display quality and touchscreen performance. It does resist scoring better than film, but don't be surprised to find faint scratches on the Pure from your keys. You're screen will be safe though.
