You may be shocked to learn that Apple is making another iPad. We did not need the Wall Street Journal to figure that out, but there is something to their report worth noting for tablet consumers.
The WSJ claims the next generation iPad has a camera and faster processor.
I know, hard to believe. Slightly less predictable, but still expected, the new iPad will be thinner, lighter, but packing more memory and greater graphics capability.
For wireless consumers, AT&T and Verizon are said to be the only U.S. carriers at least initially.
Leaving sarcasm aside for a moment, the WSJ report says Apple has started manufacturing the iPad which confirms the imminent announcement of the refreshed tablet. Apple launched the iPad in April last year and is known to stick to the calendar pretty closely for product cycles.
The flood of tablet mania could prompt Apple to a speedier release it at least an announcement soon to overcome the noise of its competitors. Some say it could be unveiled by Feb. 13 for a March release.
Reflecting the enthusiasm over the tablet, there have been a number rumors regarding the new iPad to be taken with a garin of salt. Some claim that it will have a carbon fiber shell instead of its current aluminum construction. Other rumors include wireless payment capabiltiy, a 7" version, and a variety of white unicorn features.
