Custom Droid ROM adds multi-touch for the brave

Bookmark and Share

Some Droid elves have been working hard on a holiday gift for you Droid users in the U.S. lusting after the multi-touch ability enabled in Europe. There are still some issues, but this is worthy of following for you Droid users.

I have some experience flashing unofficial OS builds (iPhone, Maemo) and will be the first to urge caution. One of the trade offs as of now is the GPS functionality is lost. You'll have to ask yourself what you value more. You can follow the men behind the work on Twitter:
Eugene373 and Barakinflorida. They are also updating forums AndroidSpin.com and AllDroid.org.

If you decide to try the alpha ROM, read the instructions first and second, read the instructions again. Let me know if you try it.
