High school football players who lose their helmets during play in the 2012 high school season must leave the field for one play according to a rule change adopted by the National Federation of State High School Association Football Rules Committee.

High School Athletic Association that the General Assembly needs to mandate and fund full-time licensed athletic trainers in every high school. If schools don't have licensed athletic trainers, Guskiewicz said schools shouldn't field football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse and wrestling squads.
