State duo goes in fourth round

Anthony Hill ended up being the first N.C. State player taken in the NFL Draft. The Houston Texans made the Wolfpack tight end the 122nd overall pick and took him in the fourth round.

Seven picks later, N.C. State running back Andre Brown, expected to go as early as the second round, joined UNC receiver Hakeem Nicks with the New York Giants.

Wilson to start, Hill probable for Pack

N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson will return to the starting lineup Saturday against Boston College, coach Tom O'Brien said after practice Thursday.

And he might have tight end Anthony Hill to throw to. The senior was listed as probable in N.C. State's injury report on Thursday. Hill has missed the past four games with strained chest muscle.

Injury parade continues for Wolfpack

RALEIGH — Russell Wilson returns at quarterback for N.C. State this week but the injuries at the skill positions continue for the Wolfpack.

Second-string tight end Matt Kushner (knee) will miss the Clemson game on Saturday. Coach Tom O'Brien said starter Anthony Hill will miss his second straight game, with a strained chest muscle.

Evans to start; more injuries for Pack

Senior Daniel Evans will start at quarterback for N.C. State  against William & Mary, coach Tom O'Brien said Monday.

But Evans won't have tight end Anthony Hill to throw to on Saturday. Hill, a senior, will miss the home-opener with a chest injury adding another important part to the Wolfpack's injured list.
