TISAC boys, girls basketball tournament bracket

This year's Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference boys and girls basketball tournament will have its semifinals and finals played at Cary Academy on Thursday and Friday.

Cary Academy's girls and Ravenscroft's boys were conference champs this year.

Ravenscroft to host track and field event

Ravenscroft will host its inaugural Ravens Early-Bird Classic, a track and field event that will be held March 19. More than 400 athletes from 15 schools will compete in the Saturday event.

North Raleigh Christian 43, Wake Christian 41

GARNER -- North Raleigh Christian defeated Wake Christian 43-41 in a wild N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Big East Conference contest.

Down 41-37 with 1:48 left in the fourth quarter, the Knights covered 70 yards in a chaotic nine-play drive that ended when NRC quarterback John Cook found Josh Jares in the corner of the end zone with a 20-yard touchdown pass with 13 seconds left.

Ravenscroft 29, North Raleigh Christian 22

RALEIGH – Ravenscroft’s Temple Sloan made the most of his first start of the season at running back by rushing for 266 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Ravens over host North Raleigh Christian Academy 29-22 Friday night.

RALEIGH — Nate Miller, who averages 28.2 points, poured in 40 points while leading North Raleigh Christian to the non-conference win over Alamance Christian.
