Outer Loop Sports Show 6/2

Bookmark and Share

We switch gears on this week's Outer Loop Sports Show to talk about bigger issues in North Carolina high school sports. To view our show click this link.

  • First up is the move of the NCHSAA east basketball regionals moving from Greenville to Fayetteville (hint: I like the move).
  • Next, we discuss what the new NCHSAA 11-in-11 rule for football scheduling (starting in 2011) does to scheduling in both the Greater Neuse and Tri-Nine conferences.
  • Also concerning the high school football playoffs, the NCHSAA will switch to a pod system this next year. What does that mean for our area's schools?
  • E-mail us at outerloopsports@gmail.com
  • My Tri-Nine players of the week are Jocelyn Keen of Fuquay-Varina (only a half-second away from a state record in the 800m run) and the state-record breaking Cary 4x800 team.
