Three milestones were notched in a 79-27 blowout by Cary Christian's girls basketball team over Kinston Parrott Academy on Friday.
Junior forward Dakota Dukes reached the 2,000th point in her career, senior guard Savannah Lagaly passed the 1,000-point plateau and it was the 100th win that Dukes, Lagaly, senior Abby Pettit and coach Carmen Javaux have earned together.
Lagaly had 21 points on the night, giving her 1,015 for her career, while Dukes' 22 points give her exactly 2,000. Cary Christian has a third 1,000-point scorer, as senior Pettit passed the mark in the Knights' prevous game.
"A lot of milestones being hit right now," Javaux said. "It's really been fun and cool share."
Dukes was already the leading scorer in school history.
