Live blog from Panther Creek vs. Enloe

--After a breakaway steal and lay-in, Earnest Ross was met with a host of boos by the thrill-seeking crowd here in the first.

--Enloe's Melvin Tabb (top-50 player, 2010 class) didn't play the first quarter, but has played in each quarter since.

--PC's Brandon Oliver had a steal and 3-pointer as time expired in the first makes it 20-14 in Panther Creek's favor.

--Twice now, Panther Creek has gotten the basket they wanted right before the quarter expired. Brandon Oliver zipped a backdoor pass to Earnest Ross, who was hacked as he went for the layup with 3.8 seconds left. 39-26, Panther Creek.

--Ross throws one down this time in the open court, making it 47-26 Panther Creek

--Just a thought, but a PC win here should make them No. 1 in the county for public schools. This would be the answer that it needed after barely beating Green Hope and failing to blowout Lee County (both of those games were played right before the break).

--The Catamounts go to sleep for awhile, but when they need it, they get a basket. Earnest Ross hits a 22-footer as the buzzer expires and Enloe looks down-and-out going into the fourth.

--After three, it's Panther Creek 50, Enloe 29

--Panther Creek is having a hard time staying in control, and maybe that's to be expected. Enloe isn't undefeated for no reason and the Eagles have cut it to 57-41.

--Apex and Ravenscroft are next and it is standing-room-only here at Holliday Gym. Apex is the defending East Regional 4-A champions and Ravenscroft has Ryan Kelly, on his way to Duke next year.

--The crowd starts to boo PC for holding the ball at about the three-minute mark. The Catamounts call a timeout and score immediatley as Marquest Oliver throws it down unmolested in the middle of the lane.

--Enloe has it down to 13, but I think they may have already ran out of time. It's 59-46 with 1:36 remaining. But if they for some reason do come back, then what a game it'd be...

--Panther Creek wins big, 61-46
