RailHawks personnel confirmed today that midfielder and Cary native Steve Curfman is no longer with the team.
This afternoon, Curfman and the team made what's being referred to as "an amicable split."
Curfman was not on the bench in Saturday's friendly against C.D. Olimpia, but was listed in the program.
The Cary News had reported that Curfman, along with midfielder Santiago Fusilier, were both no longer with the team.
However, we removed that post after being told this morning that Curfman's departure had not happened — yet. It became official later today.
According to sources, he is likely to land in Wilmington for the USL-2 Wilmington Hammerheads.
There are now just five RailHawks from last year's team. They are Hamed Diallo, Caleb Norkus, Matt Watson, Kupono Low and Brian Levey.
