Fuquay-Varina will have five athletes signing scholarships this week, including four football players that will sign today. None is more heralded than defensive tackle Shawn Underwood, a two-time all-state player who will play for Butch Davis at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Cory Hunter, one of the area's top players over the past three seasons, is signing with Charleston (W.V.). Hunter finished his career with 91 rushing touchdowns, the 10th-most in state history and tops in Wake County.
Joining the four football players is boys soccer player David Sizemore, the co-conference player of the year.
Softball standout Camise Patterson signed with Campbell in the fall.
