Follow along with Middle Creek vs. Rocky Mount at the GSK

We're here awaiting the start of Middle Creek vs Rocky Mount, and it should be a good match-up between players Garrius Adams and Tashawn Mabry, both who could be playing in the ACC one day.

--Garrius Adams is feeling it. He's got eight of his team's first 10 points. 10-6 Mustangs with 4:44 left in the first.

--Adams strokes another 3-pointer! 15-10 Mustangs. He's got 11.

--At the end of the first, it's 20-15 Middle Creek.

--Tom Tankelewicz strokes another 3-pointer and makes it 23-17 Middle Creek. It's his second three of the day. This guy's got quite the stroke.

--A 6-0 run by Rocky Mount has things all tied up at 23 apiece. 4 min left in the half.

--At half, it's 33-28 Middle Creek.

--Leading scorers at halftime are Garrius Adams (16), Tashawn Mabry (14), and Tom Tankelewicz (14). I know, real surprising.

--Tom Tankelewicz has added seven more points to make it 40-34 Middle Creek with 3:54 to go in the third. He now leads all scorers with 19.

--Mabry gets a "and-1" opportunity after a Tankelewicz foul. He bricks the free throw to leave Middle Creek with a 1-point lead. 41-40.

--Adams just looked like a grown man, driving the ball straight down the lane and hammering home a two-handed dunk in traffic. 43-40 MC.

--At the end of the third, Middle Creek has a slim 43-42 lead.

--Mabry opens up the fourth with a basket. He's got 22 by my count, and gives the Gryphons a 44-43 lead.

--Larry Harris, Pete Strickland, Brandon Costner and Simon Harris are all here from N.C. State to see Mabry play. They can't be too impressed the technical he just picked up, but they have to like his production. Tankelewicz hits 1-of-2 free throws and will have the ball up 47-44.

--A 3-pointer from Adams makes it 50-46 MC with just under five minutes left. Jon Moore gets trapped in the corner on the next possession and is forced to call timeout. 50-46 MC, 4:45 left in the game

--Adams with another 3-pointer. He's got 25 and MC is up 53-46.

--Tankelewicz hits a three of his own and Middle Creek is getting the baskets they want at the perfect time. He's got 25. Mabry gets fouled on the other end, but the lefty can only make one free throw after a lane violation on his second attempt. 

--Rocky Mount's Alonzo Sharpe hits a deep 3-pointer and it's 57-52 MC. This one is far from over. 1:43 left.

--Gryphons foul John Moore instead of Tankelewicz even though Tankelewicz dribbled the ball around far longer. It's a good strategy, but Moore hits both of them.

--50.9 seconds left, and it's 62-54 MC lead. The 'Stangs are doing a good job of hitting their freebies

--Adams, Mabry and Tankelewicz are all on their respective benches and this one should be over soon.
