Cary Academy bows out

The Cary Academy boys soccer team was ousted in the first round of the NCISAA soccer playoffs on Saturday by Charlotte Country Day School, 3-1.

The Chargers were the 9th seed and playing at the 8-seeded CCDS.

Goalkeeper Jake Hammer was forced to make eight saves while senior Jordan Latta scored Cary Academy’s only goal on an assist from Andrew Park.

Sam Andrews led CA this year in goals with 11. Adam Green and Andrew Park each had five assists for the team lead.

No bid for Grace

Even though Grace Christian won the Carolina Christian Conference regular season and conference titles, the Eagles did not receive a bid to the NCISAA 2-A playoffs.

Grace ended its season 14-3 with a 11-1 record in conference.
