Wake Forest junior forward Zack Schilawski was named ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced on Wednesday morning by the league office. Schilawski becomes the first Wake Forest men's soccer play to be named ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Schilawski was also named to the All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team for the third time in his career. A native of Cary, N.C., Schilawski currently has a 3.579 cumulative grade point average with a major in biology. Schilawski was also named a 2008 first team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. He finished the 2008 season with 11 goals, which was the third most on the team, and 27 points. Schilawski scored a career-best five points in Wake's victory over Dartmouth in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The former Imp ('06) also helped Wake Forest claim the 2007 National Championship. The Demon Deacons finished this season in the College Cup Final Four.
