Athens out in front of Tri-9 girls golf race

The two-time NCHSAA 4-A state champion Athens Drive girls golf team hasn't let up on the Tri-Nine Conference this season.

So far the Lady Jaguars have captured first place in all three of the team's conference meets. All three times, an Athens player has won medalist honors by shooting a 35, with sophomore Sarah Bae doing it once and Mande Monchik twice.

Green Hope has finished runner-up in all three of conference meets.
