Wanted: ESPN affiliate

Bookmark and Share

Now that McClatchey Broadcasting is dropping ESPN Radio programming, in large part so it can pick up Don Imus' weekday morning show, ESPN is looking for a new local radio affiliate.

Dan Quinn, a spokesman for ESPN, says the network is "in negotiations with one party" in the Raleigh-Durham area, though he wouldn't identify the party.

"We certainly expect to be on sooner rather than later down there," Quinn says.

One logical landing spot on the dial would be 99.9 FM The Fan, but we haven't heard whether that's the one.

Promos are very important

Promos are very important they keep yu going, sometimes a single promo can take a company to newer heights and achievements my brother works for an advertising company called Click Booth and always speaks about the importance od advertising

its always great to add more

its always great to add more traffic to a business and this can be easily done if we can get the services of a good seo consultant to promote our business website

Please make it happen

If you try to listen to the drivel that comes as local sports talk programming anything from a national perspective will be a step above. The local controlled 850/620 is just plain bad!!!

ESPN at least gave you some natinonal perspective instead of local no-nuthings running off at the mouth. Morgan Patrick is dreadful, Jones is brutal, Gold has been bad since he took over the market.....please make it stop!!!

Bring back Jareld Whaley......at least he new how to run a program professionally. The Fan FM is terrible as well.

Who in the heck ...

... asked to get Imus back on anyway? We lose Mike and Mike and gain a racist blowhard? How about we give BoMonte Jones to the Imus program and call it a deal?

Yeah, it's gotta be 99.9...

and then they'll start playing promos saying that they are the first to bring ESPN to the area ever. Man oh man do I hate me some 99.9.

That's the obvious choice

Unless 680 changes it's format completely.
