Patience: FS Carolinas coming in HD

Bookmark and Share

Keith Lee, a Time Warner Cable subscriber in North Raleigh, writes that he couldn't find Sunday's college basketball game between UNC and UNC-Asheville in high definition. The Sunday night games, televised by Fox Sports Carolinas, are shown on cable channel 50 here.

Melissa Buscher of Time Warner Cable says FS Carolinas HD is being launched Dec. 18 and can be seen on channel 272.

Canes Hockey TV production is pathetic

John Forsland is clearly one of the best play by play announcers in hockey-fact...but the technical coverage of a Canes game is pathetic.  tonight's game against Philly 12/6/08 was interrupted in the middle of play 3 times to cut to commercials!!!  Not during a break in play or TV timeout but during the middle of the game.  And then to top it off during the post game interview the audio was so bad that Forsland had to break in and take over so we never heard the new coach express his view of the game.  The production and technical elements of the broadcast are embarrassing.  I had friends in from out of town (Dallas) and they laughed and laughed at the coverage.  IT IS PATHETIC!

Sounds great, but what does it really mean?

The more HD on TWC the better, but does this have any bearing on the number of Canes games shown locally in HD?
