ESPN360.com's ACC hoops schedule

Bookmark and Share

ESPN360.com is offering live streaming of about 50 ACC men's and eight women's basketball games this season, and a couple of others of regional interest. Unlike this Saturday's N.C. State-Maryland football game, ESPN360.com doesn't have exclusive rights to these ACC basketball games, ESPN's Paul Melvin says, meaning they'll be aired on one of ESPN's channels or be available as part of ESPN's Full Court pay-per-view service. Time Warner offers Full Court to subscribers on cable but not ESPN360 as part of its Roadrunner service. AT&T and Verizon do offer ESPN360, which says it's in negotiations with TW.

Its About Time

It's about time. I love ACC football in the Fall and it is frustrating here in Florida that we can't see the real ACC teams in action. Duke vs. Wake is a good example: two traditional ACC teams in what looks to be a close game. Miami, FSU, BC and Va Tech are televised a lot here, but they don't even belong in the conference. I would never get to see a game like Duke vs. Wake but for the internet broadcast.

people live outside of nc

insightful post gator.
I live in PA and keep up with the Pack online as much as possible. that involves checking out what's on the N&O site.

Not everyone who likes UNC and Dook live here

Some people probably read this blog from some place not as nice as NC. They maybe don't get Raycom games. Not all of UNC's games are on ESPN. I'm not knocking you, gvillegatr. You just never know who's on this here internet, and where they're at.

Honestly, I'm still trying

Honestly, I'm still trying to get a feel for what's worthwhile news and what isn't, but since I had this, I figured I'd pass it along. It would be more useful if I could also narrow down the list to identify which of those games, if any, will be shown only on ESPN360.com. As I understand it from ESPN, none of the ACC basketball games will be exclusive, but they're about to give me a list of football games they're live-streaming between now and the end of the season, including nine exclusive games.

who is this for??

does this even mean anything to anyone around here?? If you are a UNC or DUIke fan, all games will be on tv. I guess this is for the State fan who will prolly only get to see about half of their games on tv.

Of course with this being

Of course with this being the internet, "around here" means the whole world and there are plenty of fans who live out of the local viewing area, or as in my case outside of the country, for which this is very interesting news.
