While practices for the 2012 high school football season are just getting to start today, Southeast Raleigh already had at least one 2013 date on its schedule.
First-year Bulldogs coach Marvin Burke said Monday that Southeast has agreed to play in the 2013 Derrick Law Firm Kick-Off Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Labor Day Weekend 2013.

Kurt Ehlert is an orthopaedic surgeon, but last year he became a high school assistant football coach at Raleigh Cardinal Gibbons. He was an assistant football coach who knew little about coaching football and who coached kickers, although he knew nothing about kicking a football.
Lance Benson scrawled "No legs, no problem" across the front scrap of his wrestling helment when he was a high school senior at East Wake High in 1991.
He still uses the same slogan, because, he said, it sums up his life very well.
"I have no legs, but that's not a problem," Benson said this week.
Heat illness prevention deservedly receives a great deal of attention each summer when high school football teams begin their official practice. This year high school football practice at N.C. High School Athletic Association schools officially begin Monday, July 30.
