Word of God big men deciding

Bookmark and Share

Raleigh Word of God Christian Academy basketball  big men Joseph Uchebo and Yemi Makanjuola are looking at their options and have not made college decisions, according to Rev. Frank Summerfield, the school founder.

Uchebo, 6-foot-9, 240 pounds, was released from his national letter of intent to N.C. State after the Wolfpack replaced former coach Sidney Lowe with Mark Gottfried. Uchebo is ranked among the top 10 center prospects in the country by the scout.com recruiting service. He is No. 76 in scout's top 100 list.

There were on-line reports this week that the 6-10 Makanjuola, who backed up Uchebo most of the year, visited the University of Tennessee and committed, but Summerfield said Makanjuola has not made a decision.

"There is no change with Joseph," Summerfield said. "Yemi visited the University of Tennessee, but no decision has been made."
