Bookmark and Share

Chapel Hill High's Robert Crisp, a massive 6-foo-8, 304-pound offensive and defensive tackle and the top-ranked high school junior in the state, committed to N.C. State Tuesday night along with is brother, defensive back Pete Singer.

Crisp is the No. 5-ranked offensive tackle in the country by scout.com.

He had more than 30 scholarship offers, including ones from every ACC team.

He had been recruited on the national level, but wanted to stay close to home and play with this brother.

Singer is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back.

As far as "program" goes,

As far as "program" goes, you might want to look up Appalachian state. If by "program", you mean .500 or lower in a weak conference, you're right.

Not knocking the Appies, but...

Not knocking the Appies, but the only thing they have that I would like is the chance to compete in a PLAYOFF for the national championship.

Beyond that, they're in a lower division. FBS trumps FCS every time.

And btw, State beat them head-to-head when they met on the field a few years ago. And we were horrible back then. Just sayin...

And if App was in the ACC, they'd be LUCKY to finish .500 or better.

sheesh

So where does ASU fit in since they've never beaten NCState?  You beat Michigan in one of the worst years they've ever had and now you guys are world beaters???  Disgusting.
I really have no problem with ASU and am generally overall happy for you guys when you win on big stages, but its the fans.  You guys must be like the UNCCH fans of Div1AA.

Best PROGRAM in the state!

Looks like recruits are starting to figure out what the fans already know -- that we're the best football PROGRAM in the state!

GO PACK!!!

A Look Down the Road

bradleyb123, State champs today; Nat'l Champs tomorrow, one tackle at the time!

Yep!

That's what I'm screamin'!!!
