Jaqawn Raymond, a 6-foot-4 guard at Statesboro, Ga., announced he was going to run with N.C. State on Sunday.
Raymond played at Statesboro, Ga., and played in the summer in the Georgia Stars club program.
Raymond is an outstanding shooter, according to Georgia Stars coach Norman Parker. Raymond often came in off the bench for the Stars, one of the top club teams in the country.
“He is a big-time shooter with a big body,” Parker said. “He strong shooting the ball. He makes good decisions with the ball and he is a kid with great character, but his strength is shooting. “I think N.C. State is going to be very happy with him.“
