John Wall has given himself a deadline of Friday to trim his list of eight schools to three or four.
"It is a really tough decision right now," he said. "I know my mom is ready
for me to decide and I am, too, but I'm still working on it."
Wall is expected to drop four or five schools from his list of Duke, N.C. State, Baylor, Kentucky, Miami, Florida, Kansas
and Memphis on his list.
He has not heard from the University of North Carolina since he spoke with Tar Heel coach Roy Williams during the Final Four in Detroit.
"I don't know where I stand with Carolina now," Wall said. "I spoke with
them one time. I haven't talked to Coach Williams since."
Wall said he had no leader.
"I'm still at eight schools," he said. "There is no leader.".

roy boy wins ONLY when he has the BEST roster and the BEST PG.........
PG DREW is a STIFF.......at this level of competition......
and next season will not likely end with a trip to Indianapolis...when forcing 2G's to play PG.....
if that 's the case...stock up on the kool ade because reality without a kick butt PG ......the season won't end well......

Tue, 04/28/2009 - 18:49 — joenixEnough already. Let John Wall go to the basketball factories of the world and coaches like Calipari or Huggins. It is not worth it for Duke to even bother with him. There are a lot of reasons that people hate Duke, real or imagined but one of the reasons that people like Duke is that their players all appear to belong in college. Even the marginal guys they have taken over the years have turned out to be good students and obtained a degree. John Wall is not a college kid and does not need to go to a real college. Duke should not sell their soul just to get him. K just needs to learn how to coach offense and allow his players to be as aggressive on offense as he requires them to be on defense. He has misused some great talent over the last few years and run off some good talent with his defense at all cost attitude. You are not always going to be able to shut the other team down and sometimes you just have to outscore people. Duke's style is not conducive to that.
One year of John Wall is not going to change that.
