The University of North Carolina picked up a commitment last weekend from Brennan Williams, one of the top offensive linemen in the country.
Williams is a 6-foot-6, 275-pound offensive guard at West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial.
He is ranked as the seventh best offensive guard prospect in the country by rivals.com.
He made his commitment on national television on the sidelines from the U.S. Army All-America Game.
UNC currently has 26 verbal commitments, according to rivals.com, which ranks the Tar Heel group as the as the No. 6 class in the country behind LSU, Ohio State, Texas, Southern Cal and Alabama.
The Tar Heels have commitments from one five-star player _defensive end Donte Moss of Jacksonville White Oak _ and commitments from 13 four-star players, including Williams.
The Tar Heels will lose 12 scholarship seniors and junior Hakeem Nicks has announced he will enter the NFL draft.
Football Bowl Subdivision teams are allowed a maximum of 85 scholarship players on the roster and can sign a limit of 25 athletes each year.
