Southeast's Moore still headed to Irish

Bookmark and Share

Kendall Moore, Southeast Raleigh's heralded linebacker, had some doubts about signing with Notre Dame after it changed coaches, but Moore is solidly committed to the Irish after meeting new coach Brian Kelly.

"Kendall had some questions and talked to N.C. State and South Carolina and visited," said Southeast coach Daniel Finn. "But Coach Kelly came in last week and met with me and Kendall and then visited with the family. I think Kendall and Coach Kelly hit it off really well."

Gabe Henderson, Southeast Raleigh’s quarterback, has decided to not go to Kent State, however.

Henderson committed to Kent State last summer, but has decided he’d rather go to college closer to home, according to Finn.
“Kent State is a little too far from him,” Finn said.
Henderson passed for 2,416 yards and rushed for 1,005 yards. He is most interested in Liberty and Elon.
