Ross to transfer, but not to Word of God

Bookmark and Share

LaQuinton Ross, one of the top sophomore basketball players in the country, told ESPN.com on Friday that he will transfer from Jackson (Miss.) Callaway to Jackson (Miss.) Murrah, instead of going to Raleigh Word of God.

Ross had listed his high school as Word of God at the Boost Mobile Elite game in New York City last week.

Ross told ESPN.com, ""I just didn't want to leave home yet. [Leaving home for
school] might be an option in the future, but right now I want to stay
home."

Word of God point guard star John Wall was the co-MVP in the game and one of his dunks was a highlight of the game.
