Preliminary brackets for boys soccer, volleyball and girls tennis

Bookmark and Share

The NCHSAA has posted preliminary brackets for volleyball, boys soccer and girls tennis playoffs.

All of these fall sport playoff brackets have a particular slot associated with each team's finish in the conference standings. There are also a limited number of wild-card spots.

The conference seeding priority for each bracket, however, has not been released yet. Conference priority determines what conference will host a playoff game if teams of equal seeds from different conferences meet.

The girls tennis brackets have anywhere 24-32 teams in each classification's playoffs, while all classifications have 64-team brackets in boys soccer and volleyball.

Sometimes with soccer and volleyball, the brackets differ from one another -- due to some smaller schools not fielding a team of either.

But the 4A East brackets in volleyball and boys soccer are identical, not only to one another, but to future 4A East brackets in basketball, baseball, softball and girls soccer. Therefore, we've listed the first-round match-ups of each area 4A East conference for boys soccer, volleyball and many others. (There is only one wild-card spot in the 4A East, and that team must play at the Mid-South's #1 seed)

You can also download the preliminary brackets below (11236 = girls tennis; 11227 = volleyball; 11228 = boys soccer)
