On the Recruiting Front: Day twins committed to UNC

Bookmark and Share

UPDATE: Briana Day decomitted from UNC in August.

Millbrook sophomore twin sisters Briana (right, #50) and Bria Day (left, #55) have committed to UNC-Chapel Hill. Hoopgurlz, a website powered by ESPN.com, reported the committment earlier today and Briana confirmed that news later tonight.

The Tar Heels were recruiting the lanky forwards as early as the girls GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational in late December.

Briana, who starts for the Lady Wildcats, and Bria, who comes off the bench, are each listed as 6-foot-4. They led Millbrook to its first appearance in the state title game and a 31-2 record.

Briana was the MVP of the East Regional and Glaxo. She averaged 11.1 points per game, while Bria chipped in a little more than three per game.
