Two new teams entered the N&O boys soccer rankings this week, but team at the top -- Green Hope -- remains there as the Triangle's only unbeaten and untied team. The Falcons will be tested in their next two contests, playing at Apex tonight (6:30 p.m.) before a Monday showdown with conference foe No. 2 Fuquay-Varina.
The biggest drop for any area team was that of Harnett Central, which lost its first game of the year last week, 3-1 to Southern Lee.
The Cap-8 and Tri-Nine Conference each have three league teams in this week's top 12. The Triangle Independent Schools Independent Athletics Conference has just four league members, but two of them are ranked.
