Weatherman fooled us all...

OK, so it will be cold and rainy for today's 4AA state championship game between Butler and WF-R. What does that mean? I think it means that the team with the best running game and best defense will win. Who is that? It's about a tie as far as the running game aspect. Butler and the Cougars average about the same YPG. However, WF-R does it in a manner that dominates the clock. They keep their opponent's defense on the field and tires that defense out. That could be good for the Cougars. On defense against the run, the Cougars are giving up a meager 62 YPG in the playoffs. If they come anywhere close to that in today's game, that would be good enough to win it all. However, the Bulldogs aren't your average running team; they have a big, bruising back that churns out yardage and can break away for the long gainer. So the Cougars will have to be super tough "swarmmers and tacklers." I think the foul weather gives WF-R the advantage. Eight hours from now we will know.
