The N.C. High School Athletic Association released its boys brackets today -- but not without some changes.
Two local schools, Panther Creek and Green Hope started seeking changes after the initial bracket was released. Green Hope was seeded lower than it should have been, and once fixed by the NCHSAA, it had a ripple effect on the rest of the bracket.
Panther Creek (11-12) was seeking explanation as to why it did not receive one of the two 4A wild-card spots, and eventually appealed the NCHSAA. It was denied by commissioner Davis Whitfield.
