NCHSAA 3-A tennis

BURLINGTON _ A pair of Lake Norman High School singles players won
both their matches on Friday to advance to the semifinals of the
North
Carolina High School Athletic Association state 3-A tennis tournament
championships at the Burlington Tennis Center.
Trey McKee and Andrew McKinnon swept to wins in straight sets in
both their matches to move into Saturday's semifinals. McKee will face
Nick
James of Wilson Fike while McKinnon battles Charlotte Catholic№s Kyle
Johnson.
Two Catholic doubles teams advanced and the teammates will face
one another in the semifinals when Nick Bursch and Matt Sandberg play
Sean
Huber and Jordan Klochany. The other morning semi puts Statesville№s
Tripp
Hawkins and Parks Thompson against Andrew Treske and Andrew Baird of
Waxhaw
Marvin Ridge.
Play will start at nine o'clock Saturday morning with the
championships to follow.
