Big games await for N&O's Triangle top 15 basketball teams

If not, you can see the Triangle Top 15 by clicking here. They debuted in Thursday's newspaper.
As it turns out, these next few days are going to have some big games How about No. 1 vs No. 3 and No. 2 vs No. 4 in girls' basketball this Friday? Or the seven ranked-versus-ranked games upcoming in boys' basketball?

Former Panther Creek player Isaiah Johnson commits to Kansas football

Johnson is a starting safety for Iowa Western Community College, which won the National Junior College Athletic Association championship this year.
NCHSAA Wells Fargo Conference Cup standings after fall sports season

Each conference cup is awarded based on participation and standings in conference play. Each conference determines its own method of awarding points.

Submitted by jmikeblake on 12/07/2012 - 17:36The NCHSAA has received career and season stats from Wakefield High School regarding senior quarterback Connor Mitch, and thus the NCHSAA has officially placed Mitch in its record books.
Mitch, who will be graduating after this semester to enroll at South Carolina, is behind only Chris Leak (of Charlotte Independence fame) in many passing categories.
In Wake County history, Mitch broke many records held by Daniel Evans (Broughton). Garrett Leatham (Middle Creek) is third in most of those categories.

Ejection-free so far
Submitted by jmikeblake on 12/07/2012 - 14:51The NCHSAA listed on its website all of the member schools who are ejection-free after the fall sports season. Last year, only 17 schools in the greater Triangle area were ejection-free after the fall, winter and spring sports seasons.

Allie Tuttle records triple-double for Panther Creek

Panther Creek senior center Allie Tuttle recorded a triple-double Monday night against Sanderson.
It's the third triple-double in the Northwestern recruit's career, and the only three triple-doubles in Catamounts program history.
She had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 40-36 win.
