Middle Creek boys, Wakefield girls among N.C . all-stars

 The area will be well represented in the North Carolina/ South Carolina All-Star Basketball Classic  on March 21. The all-star game matching a team from North Carolina against a South Carolina squad will be played at Socastee High School in South Carolina.

The women's game will begin at 6:30 and the men's game will
follow. Tickets are $10.  On Friday, March 20, there will be a slam dunk
contest and 3-point contest starting at 7:30 at Socastee High School. The
price for Friday evening is $5.

The North Carolina's men team will include Earnest Ross of Panther Creek, Garrius Adams and Tom  Tankelewicz of Middle Creek, and Josh Adams of Athens Drive. Rocky Mount's Trey Sumler also is on the team.

The girls squad includes  Wakefield's Kelsey Evans and Sarah Wollett and Southeast Raleigh's Lakevia Boykin.

Garner's DaMetrius Upchurch

Its a shame they did not consider Upchurch, who scored 27 and pulled down 10 rebounds against Middle Creek this year in Garner's 72-62 win:
