Robert Senseney, the head football coach at Roanoke (Va.) William Fleming, is the new football coach at Knightdale High School.
Senseney has a 79-19 career head coaching record, including a 30-12 mark at Fleming, where the team played every game on the road.
His teams won Virginia State AA Championships in 2003 and 2004 while he was head coach at Gretna High.
Senseney is a 1990 graduate Fayetteville Seventy-First and a 1995 graduate of East Carolina University. He earned his teaching certification at Fayetteville State University.
"I don't look at the Knightdale job as a new challenge," he said. "It is a new opportunity.
"The school has a community identification and I think that's huge. I'm excited for this opportunity."
