With one tweet, Josh Newkirk announced that he'll be playing in the ACC.
"Officially committed to Pitt. Glad to be apart of the family #HailToPitt !!!"
While Newkirk will play his final high school season at Word of God, the Pittsburgh Panthers will play their final season in the Big East.
The point guard, who played his first season of high school basketball at Southeast Raleigh, led the Holy Rams (18-6) last year with 15.2 points per game.
He's rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN.com, which also lists him as the nation's 35th-best point guard and 8th-best player in North Carolina. Most recruiting sites say his decision was down to Pitt or Georgia Tech.
